Overview

Cordoba Corporation is a leading civil engineering and design firm based in California. We seek a Scheduler II to support our education sector. The candidate will Perform contractor schedule reviews for contract conformance and quality assurance. This role is Los Angeles, California and 100 percent onsite. 

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate contract change orders and amendments for impact on budget and schedule.
  • Perform time impact analysis of project schedule delays and potential claims.
  • Participate in change order negotiations.
  • Perform Critical Path and Earned Value analyses.
  • Identify schedule-related problems that arise during project execution and recommend corrective actions and creative solutions.
  • Conduct construction/project site visits for progress reporting.
  • Review the progress of the contractor’s weekly and monthly schedule, prepare a narrative of findings, submit it, and present it to management for decision-making.
  • Analyze actual expenditures versus budget performance.
  • Prepare a cost-loaded schedule to support comprehensive cash flow projections.
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Flexible schedule and transportation to work at multiple sites based on assigned schedule and duties.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience in project or program scheduling on large construction programs
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business administration, or other related field. Additional qualifying experience more than the minimum stated above may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Advanced proficiency in specified software, including but not limited to Primavera Scheduling Software and MS Office applications, including Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of theories, principles, and practices of cost engineering and scheduling.
  • Experience with time impact analysis.
  • Experience with construction claims and change orders.

Salary Range: $115,00 to $125,000 per year.

Location: Los Angeles, CA. 100 percent onsite.
