Overview

Cordoba Corporation is a leading civil engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated senior transportation planner to support the transportation sector. 

Responsibilities

  • The position will lead and support various types of transportation projects, including transit, active transportation, first-last mile, planning studies, and complete streets. 
  • Manage projects and tasks, mentoring staff, building and maintaining client relationships, and participating in business development activities to help achieve the sales, revenue, and project delivery goals of Cordoba Corporation.
  • Based on their technical specialties, the candidate may also engage across Cordoba’s sectors as needed. 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 8+ years’ experience performing similar work
  • Client engagement management experience
  • Experience with transportation/municipal agency planning processes
  • Leading transportation and land use analysis, report writing, and communication of outcomes and results
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental and planning guidelines and regulations
  • Process improvement experience
  • Experience with public speaking

Required Knowledge

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of transportation infrastructure project lifecycle
  • Knowledge of transportation project development phases, processes, and procedures
  • Knowledge of project management principles and practices
  • Project accounting and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in related field
  • Experience with private and public sector planning work
  • Knowledge of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) policies and requirements
  • AICP, LEED, Envision accreditation or willingness to obtain
  • Leader or active member of a transportation planning, engineering, or advocacy association

Salary Range: $120,000 to $140,000 per year.

Location: Hybrid - Los Angeles, CA.
