Overview

Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Electric sector. The Project Coordinator will assist in all aspects of Pre-construction stages of a project and assist the Project Manager and Project Engineer as needed. The candidate will also coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, learn, and help develop internal and external processes, understand project objectives, and continuously assist in identifying opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Designers in determining job pre-requisites, coordinating with external subcontractors to ensure schedule needs are met.
  • Supports and facilitates all activities leading to the successful completion of a job that is ready for construction.
  • Complies with client project policies and procedures.
  • Participates in project design meetings and proposes/suggests improvements if necessary.
  • Supports and attends scheduling meetings to gain a greater understanding for project involvement and timelines.
  • Reviews final work order package documentation for accuracy in pursuit of final upload to the client system ensuring all documents are up to date and meet project requirements.
  • Communicates and coordinates with engineering firms and third-party vendors.
  • Manages project-related paperwork by ensuring all necessary documentation is current, properly filed and stored.
  • Prepares, updates, and maintains Excel workbooks to track/log reconciliation status.
  • Works with project management team to ensure pre-requisites and schedules are adhered to.
  • Updates process flow maps and organizational charts as needed
  • Utilizes data management when needed
  • Keeps informed of new policy and procedural developments relative to utility company construction standards and procedures

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience providing direct project coordination support to Program or Project Managers on IT technical and/or civil programs or projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Business Management or equivalent field preferred or equivalent experience
  • PMP, Agile or other Program Management certifications preferred
  • Knowledge of IEEE and/or IEC standards
  • In depth knowledge of cost management and controls, budget forecasting, demonstrated risk management and mitigation with exceptional communication skills
  • Proficiency using MS Project, Primavera (P6), or equivalent project management planning tools
  • Proficiency using the MS Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Ability to prepare responses in a clear, thorough, and concise manner.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with a variety of people with different technical levels and educational backgrounds.
  • Must be detailed oriented and highly organized, with a focus on workload prioritization.
  • Must be able to produce accurate and timely results while maintaining a positive customer service attitude.

Pay Range:  $25.00 - $50.00 per hour

 

Work Location: Hybrid 2-3 days per week in the San Diego office

 

Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship

 

Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check
