Overview

Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a seeking a skilled and experienced Hydrogen Applications Engineer with Hydrogen-Gas industry experience. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the design, analysis, and execution of utility pipeline projects, contributing to the successful delivery of projects that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Engineering Design and Analysis:

  • Lead the development and preparation of engineering designs, plans, and specifications for implementation of Hydrogen projects (i.e., pipeline, fuel cell, and fueling stations), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and client specifications.
  • Conduct engineering calculations, analyses, and simulations to assess the performance, integrity, and provide recommendations for optimization.

Project Management and Coordination:

  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of assigned projects, including scope, budget, schedule, and resources, to ensure successful project delivery within established targets.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to communicate project requirements, progress, and findings, and address any concerns or issues that arise during project execution.

Technical Documentation and Reporting:

  • Prepare detailed engineering reports, drawings, and documentation to support project design, construction, and regulatory compliance, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications.
  • Review and approve engineering deliverables, including drawings, calculations, and specifications, to verify compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

Quality Assurance and Risk Management:

  • Conduct quality assurance reviews and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks, errors, and discrepancies in engineering designs and documentation.
  • Implement corrective actions and revisions as needed to address identified issues and ensure the integrity and safety of project deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Process, Environmental Engineering, or related field is required
  • 5-10 years of engineering experience in the Hydrogen-Gas industry is required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license highly preferred
  • Advanced technical skills and understanding of engineering principles, calculations, and analysis methods
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Exceptional problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently, as part of a team and effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
  • Ability to be adaptable and flexible
  • High level of personal integrity with a strong work ethic

 

Pay Range:  $40.00 - $60.00 per hour

 

Work Location: Hybrid 2-3 days per week in the Los Angeles or Santa Ana office

Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship

 

Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check
