Overview

Cordoba Corporation is leading design and engineering firm based in California. We are seeking a Field Engineer to join our Gas Sector with 3-5 years of industry-specific experience in the utility pipeline sector. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the design, analysis, and execution of utility pipeline projects, contributing to the successful delivery of projects that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. 

Responsibilities

Project Coordination and Management: 

  • Support project managers in coordinating project activities, resources, and schedules to ensure timely completion of deliverables. 
  • Conduct site visits, monitor schedules, and support inspections. 
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and schedules, and monitor project progress and performance against established targets. 
  • Participate in project meetings, workshops, and presentations to communicate engineering requirements, progress, and findings to project stakeholders. 

Technical Expertise: 

  • Prepare clear and comprehensive technical reports, drawings, and documentation to support project design, construction, and regulatory compliance. 
  • Apply technical knowledge to practical problems, ensuring smooth operations and installation. 
  • Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of technical documentation to ensure quality and integrity of project deliverables. 

Quality Assurance and Compliance: 

  • Participate in quality assurance reviews and audits to identify and address potential issues, errors, and discrepancies in engineering designs and documentation. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in the design, construction, and operation of utility pipeline systems. 
  • Implement corrective actions and revisions as needed to address identified issues and ensure the integrity and safety of project deliverables. 
  • Keep proper documentation for all aspects of construction. 
  • Facilitate project close out and reconciliation. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field required
  • 3-5 years of industry-specific experience in engineering, with a focus on utility pipeline projects required
  • Proficiency using GIS engineering software required  
  • Advanced technical skills and understanding of engineering principles, calculations, and analysis methods
  • Knowledge of utility pipeline systems, materials, construction methods, and regulations is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently, as part of a team and effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
  • Ability to be adaptable and flexible
  • High level of personal integrity with a strong work ethic
  • Current California driver's license and a clean driving record with no major violations required

 

Pay Range: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

 

Work Location: Onsite 5 days per week fielding in the Southern CA region or in the Los Angeles, CA office

 

Visa Sponsorship: Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship

 

Travel: Up to 75% in the Southern CA region (company vehicle provided)
