Overview

Cordoba Corporation is a leading design and engineering firm based in California. We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our Energy - Gas Sector. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the design, analysis, and execution of Oil & Gas utilities projects, contributing to the successful delivery of projects that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Process Engineering delivering line, equipment and instrument lists, equipment and instrument datasheets.
  • Perform conceptual and detailed designs for the utilities industries.
  • Design specialty gas and chemical storage systems, solvent recovery systems, wastewater and off gas treatment systems.
  • Interface with other disciplines, project management, and the client to provide fully coordinated projects.
  • Design and planning equipment layout and sizing.
  • Experience delivering Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) and Process Instrument Diagrams (PID), equipment, and instrument data sheets.
  • Experience delivering process simulations and heat/material balance calculations.
  • Hazard Operations Analysis (HAZOP) knowledge.
  • Support field construction efforts, including reviewing submittals, responding to questions from clients and contractors, and performing field walks.
  • Perform technical and business presentations with clients and employees.
  • Support in the review and approval of facilities & utilities (including software) related change requests.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of technical process engineering experience in Oil and Gas production, refining or construction required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or a related field required
  • Technical knowledge of materials, processes, control systems and applicable regulations such as ASME B31.3, 31.4 or 31.8 highly preferred
  • Advanced technical skills and understanding of engineering principles, calculations, analysis methods and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency using engineering software tools for delivering process simulations and heat/material balance calculations such as Aspen HYSYS, AFT Arrow or AFT Fathom
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently, as part of a team and effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
  • Ability to be adaptable and flexible
  • High level of personal integrity with a strong work ethic

Pay Range: $35.00 - 50.00 per hour

 

Work Location: Hybrid 3 days per week in the Chatsworth, CA office

 

Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship

 

Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check
