Overview

Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking an entry-level Drafter to join our Gas Sector to support Hydrogen and Gas projects. The ideal candidate has a passion for sustainability and a desire to learn and grow in the field of energy infrastructure design. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience and develop foundational skills in pipeline design using Autodesk Plant3D software.

Responsibilities

  • Assist designers and engineers in the development of hydrogen and gas pipeline designs, layouts, and construction drawings using Autodesk software.
  • Participate in project meetings and design reviews, contributing ideas and insights to support the development of innovative and efficient pipeline solutions.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and information for pipeline routing, alignment, and feasibility studies, under the guidance of experienced team members.
  • Support the preparation of technical documents, reports, and presentations to communicate design concepts, findings, and recommendations to project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate pipeline designs with other project components, such as equipment, structures, and electrical systems, ensuring seamless coordination and compatibility.
  • Assist in the resolution of design issues, discrepancies, and conflicts through proactive communication, problem-solving, and coordination with project team members.
  • Stay informed about industry standards, codes, and regulations related to pipeline design and construction, actively seeking opportunities for professional development and skill enhancement.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma required; Associate degree preferred
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a professional work environment
  • Basic familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as Autodesk AutoCAD is preferred but not required
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a proactive attitude and a strong commitment to personal and professional development.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team and effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • High level of personal integrity with a strong work ethic

Pay Range: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

 

Work Location: Hybrid 3 days per week in the Chatsworth, CA office

 

Travel: Up to 5% travel to project sites in Los Angeles county

 

Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship

 

Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check
