Overview

Cordoba Corporation, a leading engineering and design firm in CA, is hiring a Transit Engineer III to support the Transportation Sector. Transit Engineer III will work under the guidance of a senior engineer to support multi-disciplinary transit projects, including Bus, Bus Rapid Transit, Light Rail, Streetcar, Rail, and transit support facilities. The Transit Engineer III will perform a variety of engineering assignments requiring a general can-do attitude. The ideal candidate will be able to coordinate with other engineers, architects, and project team members. They will work directly with one or more project managers and several lead engineers across different disciplines. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other engineers, drafters, and designers to prepare the required design, specifications, and details for assigned projects
  • Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with a high degree of technical complexity
  • Perform engineering work in connection with public works projects
  • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and costs for constructing capital improvement projects
  • Lead the preparation of engineering reports
  • Coordinate quality review processes
  • Assist in field engineering and inspection as needed.
  • Perform assignments with instructions as to the general results expected
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain professional engineering registration
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in transportation engineering involving transit infrastructure
  • Professional Engineering (PE) License in California
  • Skilled in technical writing, communicating, and presenting to clients and the public
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team on transit projects
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our culture
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Civil3D environment
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook Software)
  • Ability to collaborate on multi-discipline projects/teams
  • Knowledge of civil design

 

Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in civil engineering
  • Greater level of experience in transit engineering and transit projects
  • Previous work on LA Metro projects
  • Experience with traffic engineering
  • Experience with BRT projects

 

Salary Range: $150,000 - $185,000

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Work Environment: Onsite
