Overview

Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and program management firm based in California and we are seeking an Electric Distribution Engineer II to join our Electric sector. As an Electric Distribution Engineer II, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, or conducting quality control (QC) reviews on electrical distribution lines. This role involves working on projects that contribute to the development and enhancement of power infrastructure. The Distribution Engineer II plays a pivotal role in maintaining industry standards, implementing innovative solutions, and providing technical expertise in the field. 

Responsibilities

  • Designs, analyzes or QC distribution lines using O-Calc engineering software. 
  • Assist in leading engineering projects related to distribution lines. 
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects. 
  • Applies engineering principles to optimize the performance and reliability of distribution lines. 
  • Conducts QC assessments to ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications. 
  • Identifies issues and raises them for management review along with potential solutions.  
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance. 
  • Attends meetings with clients, vendors and governing agencies as required 
  • Stays abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes. 
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of department and company goals.  
  • Participates in special projects or tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field required 
  • 3+ years of experience in electric distribution line engineering and design required 
  • PE (Professional Engineer) license required 
  • Proficiency with O-Calc engineering software required 
  • Engineering project management experience related to electric distribution lines 
  • In-depth knowledge of electric utility industry standards and regulations 
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD software preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project 
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders 

 

Pay Range: $90,000 - $124,800 per year 

 

Work Environment: Remote (California residents preferred) 

 

Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship 

 

Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check
