Overview

Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and program management firm based in California. We are seeking a Program Manager to join our Energy sector. This role will lead strategic programs focused on the maintenance, reliability, and performance optimization of its power generation facilities. This role will oversee planning and execution of maintenance initiatives across renewable generation assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and alignment with clean energy goals. The Program Manager will collaborate with engineering, operations, and asset management teams to drive operational excellence and long-term asset sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage programs related to preventive and corrective maintenance of power generation facilities.
  • Oversee all aspects of program operations to ensure efficient project delivery, balanced team workloads, sustained backlog and coordinate staffing and resource allocation while maintaining visibility across all active and upcoming projects.
  • Drive business development efforts to secure new contracts in the power generation sector by maintaining strategic client relationships, identifying growth opportunities and contract wins through targeted capture planning and client-focused engagement.
  • Lead capital improvement projects and outage planning across multiple generation sites.
  • Manage program budgets, profitability and overhead costs to ensure financial targets are met and work closely with project managers to optimize financial performance across all contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory requirements including NERC, FERC, and CPUC standards.
  • Support the branding and market visibility of Cordoba by actively promoting the firm’s capabilities, values, and successes through client engagements, industry conferences, presentations, and professional networks to enhance reputation in the power generation sector.
  • Deliver leadership, mentorship, training and supervision to power generation staff with strategic direction to champion quality control and operational excellence.
  • Support risk assessments, root cause analyses, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to secure critical parts and services.
  • Review documentation and reporting systems for maintenance history, inspections, and regulatory filings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Energy Systems, or related field required
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in power generation facilities, maintenance, and asset management required
  • Strong knowledge of generation technologies including hydroelectric, compressor stations, hydrogen, thermal, or renewable systems
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential preferred
  • Proven experience managing complex maintenance programs and capital projects
  • Experience identify, pursue, and secure new contracts and task orders in the power generation market (conventional, renewable, and distributed energy sectors).
  • Working knowledge of California energy regulations and utility operations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to travel to generation sites within Southern California as needed

Pay Range: $140,000 – $175,000 per year

 

Work Location: Hybrid 3-4 days per week at office

 

Travel: Up to 20% travel to facility sites within the Southern California area

 

Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship

 

Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check
