Overview

Cordoba Corporation, a leading engineering and design firm in CA, is hiring a Traffic Engineer II to support the Transportation Sector. The Traffic Engineer II will work under the guidance of a senior engineer to support multi-disciplinary projects, including roadway, public works, transit, rail, and other civil engineering for linear transportation projects and facilities. The Traffic Engineer II will perform a variety of engineering assignments requiring a general can-do attitude. The ideal candidate will be able to coordinate with other engineers, architects, and project team members. They will work directly with one or more project managers and several lead engineers across different disciplines. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage traffic studies, impact analyses, and traffic operations assessments for a variety of projects.
  • Conduct and oversee data collection, traffic modeling, and analysis using industry-standard software and methodologies.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, drafters, and designers to prepare the required design, specifications, and details for assigned projects
  • Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of large to medium multidisciplinary projects or medium to small-sized projects
  • Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and costs for constructing capital improvement projects
  • Lead the preparation of engineering reports
  • Coordinate quality review processes
  • Assist in field engineering and inspection as needed.
  • Perform assignments with instructions as to the general results expected
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
  • Maintain professional registration
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in traffic, transportation, or a related engineering field
  • Traffic Engineer (TE) License in California
  • Experience with traffic engineering for Municipal clients in California
  • Experience using Synchro, VISSIM, and/or other traffic analysis software applications
  • Experience with SharePoint
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Skilled in technical writing, communicating, and presenting to clients and the public
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our culture
  • Knowledge of civil design

Salary Range: $135,000 to $175,000 per year

Location: Berkeley, CA

Work Environment: On-site
