Overview

Cordoba is a leading civil engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking a Civil Engineer with experience in the engineering and design of water and wastewater facilities. The primary functions are performing planning, engineering, design and cost estimating for water and wastewater collection and treatment projects. Project components may include pipelines, pump stations, storage tanks and treatment systems. The ideal candidate will be proactive and excel in with limited support and guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of engineering plans, calculations, and cost estimates for water collection and treatment projects under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assist in preparing design documents for water infrastructure, including drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Contribute to project tasks such as data collection, field investigations, and basic analysis to support engineering decisions.
  • Help maintain project documentation, including reports, memos, meeting notes, and technical summaries.
  • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project tasks are completed on schedule and meet quality expectations.
  • Participate in project meetings with senior staff to observe discussions with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
  • Support the preparation of materials for presentations, studies, and reports.
  • Assist with reviewing plans, specifications, and submittals for accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
  • Learn and apply company standards, procedures, and engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with peers and senior engineers on small project components and contribute to larger project deliverables.
  • Perform basic engineering analyses and modeling tasks with supervision.
  • Seek guidance from senior engineers and participate in training opportunities to build technical and professional skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required; Civil Engineering preferred
  • 5+ years of engineering and design experience with water and wastewater projects required
  • EIT (Engineer in Training) license is preferred
  • Experience developing construction drawings for water and wastewater infrastructure
  • Experience preparing specifications and cost estimates for water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
  • Proficiency using AutoCAD or MicroStation software
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project

Pay Range: $100,000 - $130,000 per year

 

Work Location: Hybrid 2-3 days per week in the Los Angeles, CA office

 

Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship

 

Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check
